چکیده

TB (Tuberculosis) is a common infectious disease affecting humans since very long time. Multidrug therapy with its associated adverse drug reactions one of the major concerns for management TB. The current study has been conducted identifying causality assessment, severity as well preventability first-line anti-tubercular agents. All diagnosed patients tuberculosis attending and chest department tertiary care hospital western India received Anti-TB drugs over 6 months enrolled in study. Demographic details, suspected drugs/groups, assessment were analyzed from reported ADR (adverse reaction) forms. Throughout research period months, 500 drugs. Among them, (10%) 50 developed 121 reactions. According to WHO scale, 66 (54.54%) ADRs classified ‘probable’ 53 (43.8%) ‘possible’. More than half (31, 62%) mild on scale while most definitely (34, 68%) preventable per scale. Gastrointestinal system affected (54, 47.62%) followed by dermatological disorders (26, 23.01%) Liver biliary (20, 16.52%). Isoniazid (46, 38%) Rifampicin (40, 33%) cause antitubercular agents ADRs. are concern patient compliance. Patient education, intensive reporting, can be helpful improve outcome therapy.

Causality Assessment of Cutaneous Adverse Drug Reactions

BACKGROUND Cutaneous adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are the most common adverse reactions attributed to drugs. A systematic and effective approach to a patient with suspected drug eruption allows for prompt recognition, classification and treatment of cutaneous ADRs. A standardized and effective approach for objective causality assessment is necessary to make consistent and accurate identificati...

Mobile App Design, Development, and Publication for Adverse Drug Reaction Assessments of Causality, Severity, and Preventability

BACKGROUND Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) cause significant morbidity and mortality. Improved assessment of ADRs to identify the causal relationship, the severity, and the preventability will aid ADRs prevention or reduce patient burden. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to develop mobile apps in assisting clinical decision in ADR assessments of causality, severity, and preventability using ...

Causality, severity and preventability assessment of adverse cutaneous drug reaction: a prospective observational study in a tertiary care hospital.

INTRODUCTION The number of subjects involved in a clinical trial are limited, whose findings cannot be extrapolated to the entire population.Due to the emergence of newer molecules the pattern of Adverse Cutaneous Drug Reaction(ACDR) also changes frequently. The need for this study is for early diagnosis, to reduce the morbidity and mortality due to ACDR and to ensure safety of the patients. ...

Imputation of adverse drug reactions: Causality assessment in hospitals

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES Different algorithms have been developed to standardize the causality assessment of adverse drug reactions (ADR). Although most share common characteristics, the results of the causality assessment are variable depending on the algorithm used. Therefore, using 10 different algorithms, the study aimed to compare inter-rater and multi-rater agreement for ADR causality asse...
